Finn is the fastest bird in the country! All day long she competes for the fastest time and comes up with ingenious plans to solve problems. It is no coincidence that she gets the nickname 'Fantastic Finn'. You probably read all about it in the Yumi Yay booklet 'Finn and the clean-up race'. Finn loves celebrating Easter, because it means she can go hunting for Easter eggs with her friends. But how this turns out ... that's what you and your child decide!
The writers of this next Finn story are you and your son or daughter! So get cozy, grab your Yumi Yay nightlight for the perfect atmosphere, put Finn’s cover on it for fitting inspiration, and start off! Because Finn’s Easter adventure… is up to you!
Help! How do I come up with a story? In four easy steps!
STEP 1: Who will be participating in the Easter egg hunt?
Before we can start an Easter egg hunt, we need several participants! Together with your child, think of a few more characters for your story. Who will participate in the Easter egg hunt? Who will be on the jury? Who will fire the starting pistol? Does Otti have his elephant sports shoes? Do you participate yourself or does your child like to play the lead?
Have you chosen everyone? Then it's time to set the terms of your contest!
STEP 2: How will the contest be organized?
Before the Easter egg hunt can begin, we hide the Easter eggs! Ask your child where we will hide the Easter eggs: in the garden? In the living room? Or somewhere else? Who will help hide the eggs?
Which kind of eggs do you hide? Dark chocolate, milk or white? Or do you also hide colored eggs? All done? Then it's time to give each participant a basket in which he or she can collect the found eggs.
The participants gather at the starting point, the jury is ready and Billy prepares for the opening shot!
3, 2, 1, GO!
STEP 3: There is a problem… How will Finn solve this?
Oh dear, the weather is warm and some eggs have melted. One of the candidates cheats and disguises bird eggs as Easter eggs. Otti's basket breaks down. Some ants have started running with the eggs... A lot can go wrong during an Easter egg hunt! How will Finn solve this?
Tip: Ask your child what he or she would do, and build on that. Problem-solving thinking can also be very inventive!
STEP 4: How does the contest end? Who is the winner?
Does Finn find the most eggs or is there another unexpected winner? What prize is there for the winner?
End the story with a party, fun Easter egg dinner or a dance!
Did you enjoy it? Then try telling the same story again next time. Bet you'll come up with a different ending? That's just the fun part of this kind of fantasy play!
