Write a letter

A good 'Sinterklaas' letter isn’t just about a list of things you want, but also includes a nice message for 'Sinterklaas' and his little helpers. Here’s what our little bird Finn wrote. >>

All letters sent by post are collected together in the 'Sinterklaas' Office. Once the letter arrives, the elves will do everything they can to reply to your child!

Shoe gifts

Your child could also choose to put a 'Sinterklaas' letter in their shoe. A few weeks before the 5th ('Pakjesavond') and 6th December, 'Sinterklaas' will come and pick up the letter. Make sure you put out something nice for 'Piet' and their horse (Slecht-Weer-Vandaag or Ozosnel)!

In exchange for the letter, 'Sinterklaas' and 'Piet' will leave a shoe gift or little something behind. This can range from a tasty treat (tangerines, speculoos cookies, peppermints etc.) to a small gift such as a colouring book, a small board game, or even a Yumi Yay reading book!
